These world-class vintages begin life in vineyards seated in the shadows of sacred Mount Ararat, heirs of a 6,200- year winemaking legacy in the Armavir region that has long made the most of this volcanic terroir’s DNA. Origin / Ararat Valley, Armavir Region - Armenia.
Grape varieties / Kangun, Chardonnay and Viognier.
Soil /Volcanic. Lightly eroded clay formed by basalt, high levels of carbonate and limestone, volcanic tuff and alluvial stones.
Climate / Continental, cold semi-arid with warm summers and dry cold winters. Annual precipitation level is around 305 mm.
Vinification / Manual harvest followed by selection table. Pressed and after a cool 24 - hour decantation process, the juice is fermented for 20 days at 14-16 °C in stainless steel tanks.
